Originally designed to be exhibited in 1929 at the Salon d’Automne in Paris, the three-piece design collaboration relied mostly on Charlotte Perriand’s genius. Dubbed a “basket of cushions,” the LC2 club chair is nothing short of spectacular. Rigid in outside appearance due to the metal structure, the comfort levels make this one of our favorite chairs of all time.
This early example, as evidenced by the low number on the stamping, features all the wear you’d expect from a 50 year old chair. Fading, scratches, etc. But it also has that broken in look. Patina is earned, not given.
We have attempted to capture the true condition of this chair through the photos. There are scratches, there is paint transfer, there is fading.
