Beautiful large Murano hand blown green with acid etched surface Italian art glass decorative bowl. Documented to designer and architect Carlo Scarpa for Venini, circa 1934-1936. Created in the “Corroso” technique. The “Venini Murano Italia” three line acid etched stamp signature is placed on the concave pontil mark underneath the bowl. The piece has an oval shape with tall sides. The color is green, but at the very bottom there is a hint of teal blue. You can see this in several of the photos. The bowl was also made with some UV reactive glass, as It glows bright green under a black light (see photos). Would make a great display piece on any desk, credenza or console table. Art Deco, Mid-century era. Collectors item. The bowl measures 9 1/4″ long x 5 3/8″ wide x 4″ high.
