Sideboard “Bloc,” an exceptionally rare piece in this five-door version, designed by Charlotte Perriand for the mining town of Cansado, Mauritania. Conceived for the residences and offices of the Miferma company’s directors, this model was produced in a significantly more limited edition compared to the standard Cansado furniture.
The design features a quadrangular metal structure, elegantly framed with ash veneer panels. The piece is distinguished by its sliding doors in contrasting black and white melamine, which are supported by two robust black lacquered metal blocks.
Manufactured by Galerie Steph Simon, circa 1962.
