Ming style, multi-tiered, tea table, accent table with four ‘stump’ style stools. Hand carved from root of a single tree. Lacquer coated. Originally purchased in China at turn of 21st century, and appears to be from a thuja sutchuenensis tree, a species which is nowdays endangered and whose export is prohibited.. Features nine round shelves, interspersed with intricately hand carved images of dragon, fish and antelope. Has drain. A conversational accent piece bound to become the center of attention in any room. Goes particularly well in a sun room or solarium.
