Martin Visser’s iconic BR 02 sofa, for Spectrum. This Mid-Century Modern sleeper sofa has been refurbished by us and was given a new pale green qualitative upholstery. The seat and back are supported by a silver metal frame with a shifting mechanism that allows the sofa to convert to a daybed.
Martin Visser was a Dutch furniture-designer and art-collector. Visser’s career as a designer started at department store De Bijenkorf. From 1955, he became head of production and design of ’t Spectrum. For this company, Visser designed numerous items, including tables and sofas, such as the iconic BR02 sofa bed.
