Large fireplace mirror in wood gilded with fine gold, glittered mercury glass in 2 parts, Restoration period, circa 1840.

If the structure and silhouette remain resolutely in the Empire / Restoration style, the stylistic field of the molded motifs (shells, flowers) announces the Napoleon III style.

Our mirror is a large format, which lends itself well to natural use above the fireplace, or placed on the floor. Beautiful frame with bold moldings.

Everything is original: gold leaf gilding in good condition, cleaned by our gilder, spotless mercury glass with glitter (clearly visible on the bottom of the mirror), original parquet flooring at the back.
