Early pair of black naugahyde and oak N°48 chair by Franco Albini produced by Knoll between 1948 and 1952.
Good condition, 2 little damages on corners of the seat cushion ( picture )
Originally, the Italian architect Franco Albini developed this type of chair in 1948 as part of a tender for the equipment of the liner Conte Biancamano. Over time, Franco Albini (probably with Franca Heg) continued to develop the chair – as for example for the villa “Berio” he planned in Italy. Later, the versions Luisa Chair (original manufacturer Poggi, now produced by Cassina) and No. 48 (Knoll International, now more in production).
