Vintage Design
Beautiful set of 4 original PK9 tulip chairs designed by Poul Kjaerholm and manufactured by Ejvind Kold Christensen, Denmark 1961. This is for a rare and early set of 4 from EKC production, this was the first production before Fritz Hansen took the production over. The chairs have matt, chrome-plated spring steel feet in 3 pieces, connected with screws. The seats are made of moulded fiberglass, felt padding and cognac leather covering of the highest quality. This is for example one of the most difficult chairs to reupholster according to leather specialists, only a few people are capable of doing that in the right way. These examples of the famous PK 9 chair with super original patina from age and usage to the leather, the corners of the chairs have a faded colour as you can see, this could be restored upon request. But in this unharmed condition still they are rare because of their condition. This model is a sculpture of pure aesthetic beauty, and they are of course marked accordingly with the EKC logo on one of the feet.
