Vintage Design
Very nice large sized coffee table designed by Svend Aage Jessen and manufactured by Ryesberg Mobler, Denmark 1965. The size of this coffee table is truly impressive, so this is perfect to use in a big lounge setting of a mid-century modern home or interior. The table features a very interesting mix of materials as it has a black stained ash wooden panelled framework, a ceramic inlay from Sejer pottery and it has stainless steel structure and legs. The legs still have their original black plastic small protection feet. The ceramic middle part has an abstract shaped pattern on the tiles which almost looks like a puzzle or maze. Very interesting composition of abstract shapes and the irregular tiles are a very nice contrast with the straight wooden sides.
