Sigfried Giedion, Werner Max Moser and Rudolf Graber, the founders of WOBAG (later Wohnbedarf) started selling the original Thonet-made Le Corbusier’ chaise longue’s already in the 1930s. Not much later, Wohnbedarf AG also acquired production rights:
The LC4 produced by Embru-Werke in Switzerland for Wohnbedarf can therefore be considered one of the earliest licensed re-editions, far before Cassina acquired production rights.
