Vintage Design
Very nice Bicia lounge chair by Designer Carlo Bartoli for Arflex, Italy 1969. The chair itself is in very good and original condition, and a nice example of Italian design from the 60’s and 70’s, where Carlo Bartoli created some iconic furniture with materials borrowed from new technological advances, such as lightweight materials that were mainly used in the aircraft industry. People like Carlo Bartoli changed the way people were interpreting furniture by thinking outside of the box. This Bicia chair has been well taken care of, and has unlike some other polypropylene furniture from that era, never been painted over.
