Bernard Rohne Mastercraft Brass Acid Etched Black Lacquer Coffee Table

Here is a phenomenal coffee table designed by Bernard Rohne and made by Mastercraft. The piece is from the early 1970’s and features a black lacquered wood base that is decorated with brass pieces artfully decorated with acid etchings. The treatment creates designs that look like buildings and futuristic architecture – I’m so obsessed with it! Each brass piece is bordered by a brighter gold/brass trim. Coupled with the black, it’s just such a statement. The smoky gray glass top is new and has a beveled edge. I personally think it needs that hint of color in the glass, taking it to the next level. Those who know, will know! This is a not just a table, it’s a designer, highly collectable piece of art.
