Vintage Design
Highly rare and beautiful set of 6 so called ‘Ariston’ dining chairs designed by Augusto Bozzi and manufactured by Saporiti, Italy 1954. These chairs have a pressed plywood seat which is finished with teak veneer at the front and back, the black painted metal wire frame supports the seats. The structure provides stability and also a nice contrast with the deep coloured plywood seats. The seats are only connected to the base with 2 screws which are decoratively worked away in the seat, but these details also support the aesthetics of the design. This style was popular in the 1950s.
