Rare Italian of the period Louis Philippe antique single bed, 1845. This type of bed is called “a boat” due to its particular shape. The bed was born to be placed against the wall, only the front side is finished and polished. To be more precise, the headboard and a long side of the bed were created to be positioned against the wall, because they are rough and unpolished, see photo.
