Vintage Design
Postmodern so called Alada dining table designed by Oscar Tusquets and manufactured by Casas, Spain 1985. The challenge faced was twofold: to design a table to complement the Varius chair, which had been presented the year before, and to ensure that its legs would not get in the way when people sat down around it. The base is made of aluminium in 1988 after he first designed this table in wood in 1985. But it appeared to be in bad quality, too difficult to maintain the shape in wood. The top has an acid engraved pattern which is heightening its appearance. The table has a fantastic architectural shape but is also very comfortable to use. The table can use up to 10 chairs easily. Frame is grey painted and in very good condition. Fantastic table and very hard to find.
