Highly rare rocking chair designed by Torben Skov and manufactured by Nordik Andels Eksport, Denmark 1989. It’s made from a bent beech plywood structure with a sleek white-painted and angled plywood seat and back. The seat is supported by a unique triangle-shaped structure, while the arms that go around the back support the backrest. It has a really cool and minimal appearance. Over time, it has slightly bent, but you won’t even notice when you’re using it. The chair is marked with the Nordik Andels Eksport sticker on the underside. What’s even more impressive is that this chair received the silver prize at the 1990 Asahikwa International Furniture Competition. The design of this rocking chair dates back to Thonet in Austria, originating 130 years ago. Since then, many designers have put their own spin on it, and this particular one stands out with its excellent construction and simple, contemporary design. Literature; Danish Chairs Noritsugu Oda, page 217. Torben Skov is educated at The Graphic School of Art. After graduating in 1970, he has had an extremely productive career. Torben has created more than 1000 book covers and countless drawings. The need to make something completely different from the graphic art, made Torben Skive look into the furniture design in the 1980s. His father was a furniture engineer and the inspiration for furniture was obvious. In total, Skov had designed 35 chairs, tables and sofas.

Iconic Sgarsul rocking chair designed by Gae Aulenti and manufactured by Poltronova in Italy in 1962. It’s made from birch plywood and has a sleek black gloss finish that gives it a modern and elegant look. What makes this particular chair stand out is the stunning patina on the original leather seat. The cognac leather has aged gracefully, making the chair one-of-a-kind. Back in 1962, Gae Aulenti, who was just in her early thirties, made her debut as a designer with this remarkable piece of furniture.

A very rare and original “Ondalunga” rocking chair, designed by Gastone Rinaldi and manufactured by Giuliano Pozzi, Italy 1971. The chair itself is a true eye catcher and due to it’s interesting form, an inmediate invitation to sit in it. The leather and frame have a nice patina, but no further significant imperfections worth mentioning.

Very rare model. Already renovated in the past, perfectly cleaned and re-polished with french polish.

An incredible and very rare rocking chair (has been attributed to Gio Ponti in the past and shows a strong and striking resemblance to his designs) in walnut, rubber and fabric for Cassina, Italy, 1950s. Exquisite production techniques used which are shown by the beautiful wooden details throughout the whole design. Original upholstery in high-quality fabric with original webbing, a truly wonderful addition to any collection. This piece was purchased in Milan in 1954 and remained in the same family until recently.

Frame in curved beech stained in walnut, backrest and seat in original Vienna straw. This rocking chair is in good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use. However, the old tape, already renewed on the seat, is damaged in some places on the backrest and requires replacement.
