Shell Carved and Paint Decorated Chest with Marble Veneered Top and Four Drawers

A timeless Pierre Cardin vintage piece made in the 1980s, this French commode feels imposing and glamourous, with a playful mix of straight lines and rounded shape, and brass handles and feet adorning its exterior of reflective black lacquer. Glossy black lacquer, paired with bright brass accents really feels crisp and luxe. It features three large drawers, with the top opening up uncovering some small pieces and jewellery storage with two small drawers. Each handle has the Pierre Cardin logo engraved. The tapered feet are made in solid ebonized iron, with brass finishes. Made of high-quality material, this commode has been fully restored, and maintained in very good vintage condition.

Beautiful hand painted stout and sturdy chinoiserie commode in black and gold. The piece features three center drawers and side shelving hidden behind doors on each side. All of this is sat upon four curved legs.

The piece was sourced from a large mansion in the Carmel, Indiana area and the maker is unknown.

Stunning commode. Excellent condition for age. Includes tasseled key fitted for three lower drawers. Gorgeous amber marble top, and brackets and mirror included, but not functioning or fitted.

I imagine this used for a powder room, fitted as a custom sink stand.

Purchased locally in Scottsdale, Arizona as part of a larger bedroom suite.

A classic Directoire commode with white marble top and column detail, newly painted in a textured faux distress style. Four wide drawers and front block feet. Brasses have been painted a blue green for a bright verdigris look. Some light scratches on the marble, shown in thumbnail.

A beautiful and elegant 1870’s Antique French Walnut Chest/Commode. The three over three drawer chest has the orginial brass hardware and keys. Standing on Queen Anne legs and topped with a beautiful marble top, this piece would make a lovely vanity or used as intended as a dresser. Noted in photos there is one split in the side wood that is typical with Antique Walnut.

Exquisite satinwood and king wood veneer with delicate green colored wood inlays framing the satinwood parts. Original brass and bronze fittings and marble top. This is a wonderful example of the high craftsmanship of 18th century French cabinet makers.
The commode comes professionally refinished and French polished.
