Whaler made antique bone and ebonized wood round box, circa 1850. With pierced bone medallion and delicately carved bone spiral decorative supports on the base. Geometric designs etched into the ebonized surface showing the lighter wood underneath. This exquisite piece of craftsmanship is expertly turned, likely made by a ships cooper.
Measures: 3.25 inches high 3.25 in diameter.

Beautifully made vintage steer horn box by Anthony Redmile. With polished horn body and hand hammered nickle plated brass mounts. The top with an inset framed opal. Signed on bottom ‘Redmile Objects, 73 Pimlico Road, London.

Anthony Redmile was one of the leading eccentric designers in art objects of the mid-20th century, his pieces soon became sought after by many collectors and remain so half a century later. Redmile burst into the London interior design scene in the 1960s, producing some of the most eclectic items for his illustrious clients. The materials he used in his objects and furniture were inspired by the natural world.

Unusual 19th century letter box with whimsical ink decoration inside and out, signed and dated 1890. With wonderfully naive ink decoration, including a Chimera being ridden by a sprite blowing an elaborate horn. Also a lovely small Dutch style landscape and seascape inside. Signed with the monogram LH and dated 1829-1890. Also signed on the bottom in pencil with monogram and name that I can’t make out. Two slots on top for letters and a small working lock and key.

A wonderful decorative piece or gift for the card player or gambler. Lined with red felt, very good overall condition. Moroccan circa 1950s. Holds two decks of cards.
