Vintage Design
Rare monumental conference desk made for a lawyer’s firm in the 1950s. Designed by Alfred Hendrickx and manufactured by Belform, Belgium 1958/1959. The large sized desk has a wide workspace and a lot of storage opportunities. The legs are very typical for the work by Hendricks as well. This comfortable sized desk has fantastic features, on the front you will find 3 drawers and 1 open part. At the back there is 1 open part and a sliding top with a handle which is very characteristic for the designs by Hendrickx. The desk is made of beautiful Zingana wooden veneer which shows a beautiful striped pattern. The legs are made of black painted beech. A nice, unusual detail is that the feet are not similar, we don’t know what the reason for that was, but it makes this desk more interesting if you ask us. The locks were unfortunately broken so we removed them and added the brass knobs. The desktop is fully refinished, and the black feet are in original condition. This desk is in overall very good condition.
