Originally designed by Pierre Paulin in 1960 in collaboration with Artifort, the Mushroom chair, also known as the F560, is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, making it a true design icon.
Inspired by women’s swimming costumes, the Mushroom chair was a revolutionary manufacturing technique, allowing chairs to be upholstered in one seamless piece of stretch fabric, unlike traditional upholstery techniques.
The moulded foam base creates a curvaceous silhouette which forms a cocoon like seat, while the lime green upholstery gives a bold pop of colour.
A fantastic addition to any contemporary living space, this iconic chair
