Vintage Brutalist Table and Chairs by Luigi Gorgoni for Maison Regain, 1980s, Set of 5

Massive elm worked in the thickness, masterful lines and uncompromising design, this Table and Chairs set of Luigi Gorgoni is sculptural. Edited by Maison Regain in the 70s, these striking brutalist design furniture are elegant, comfortable, ingenious and above all disturbing of beauty. from lines or materials, we ignore what impresses us most: the thick round tray is carried by a massive and geometric central base, the patinated leather goes perfectly with the light and golden shade of the elm. We lack words to evoke the power of these incredible pieces.

The table and the chairs are old and date from the 1970s. They were drawn by Luigi Gorgoni for Maison Regain. They are in solid and thick elm (extension of the table included). The table is round and carried by a sculptural central base. An extension can be integrated into the center of the table. The song of the plateau is beveled in rounded way, the lines are very soft, the shade of the wood is superb. The chairs have a file and sitting in smooth “Havana” color leather, they are very comfortable and matching the table. The leather patina is soft, the traces of minimal use. A small spot is visible at the back of one of the folders, visible in photo. The whole is masterful, unusual and superb made.
