We are so pleased to present this drop-dead gorgeous and rare ‘Paperknife’ couch designed in the 1950s by Kai Kristiansen for Magnus Olesen, Denmark. This is a 3-seat model in solid teak with brass fittings. Named for the knife-like slender curved and carved arm rests. It is one of the most popular items by the Danish designer. It is a beautiful example of Danish Modern style with a sleek and organic shape, comfortable yet compact.
Kvadrat Divina MD
The cushions have been completely replaced. The seat cushions are made of cold foam HR45 8 cm thick. The back cushions are made of polyether SG30 8cm thick. We have chosen for the Danish quality fabric Kvadrat Divina MD color 713. The furniture fabric and panel fabric Kvadrat Divina MD was designed by Finn Sködt. The material, 100% wool, is soft, comfortable and durable with a felt-like look, which is similar to the other fabrics in the Divina ‘family’. The colors are all composed of a mix of different tones. From a distance it appears to be a unicolour, but up close the fabric reveals different color nuances.
The sofa only has some minor signs of wear on the teak frame, which makes the vintage condition excellent.
