With a lacquered metal base, chromium-plated stem, and adjustable reflector in lacquered aluminium, renowned designer Joe Colombo’s Spider Lamp was made to withstand time with its durability and simple composition.
Modelled to take a distinct horizontal light bulb, the table lamp won the Compasso d’Oro award in 1967; the jury awarded the concept for its inventive approach—Colombo’s design allowed for the development of a lamp collection using the same shade and different anchorage. It is currently part of multiple permanent collections across the globe from Philadelphia to Dusseldorf to Milan, and is also part of the MOMA collection as well.
This piece has original O-luce label on inside of lamp. The lamp also includes the original famous light bulb, the Cornalux. This has been rewired for NA. ORIGINAL PIECE.
