Vintage Design
‘Artona’ dining / conference table by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Maxalto, 1970’s Italy. Large oval table with 2 columns as base. In the base are 2 original maxalto concrete weights. The top and base are made of a variety of wood types and metals like walnut, burl, ebony and brass. The table has a beautiful patern and vibrant colors. Artona was the first series of Maxalto. Maxalto was originally set up in 1975 as a high-end division of B&B Italia. The tabla was professionally refinished a couple of years ago by the last owner and is therefore in very nice vintage condition.
